Hazel’s Bakery

Hazel’s Bakery has been a part of the community since 1940 and has become a staple in many people’s lives since its founding. A perfect spot to grab some breakfast on the go, a quick lunch, or something to bring home for dessert, Hazel’s Bakery has a little bit of everything. The bakery has an excellent selection of bread available daily, and special order bread like marble rye, cinnamon raisin, or cheese you can order ahead. And there are cookies, cupcakes, and cakes—some are all-time favorites, and some are seasonal. Stop in and experience an old-fashioned welcome and sweet treats.

My Grandma’s of New England

My Grandma’s of New England has its beginnings in a tiny bakery just baking a cinnamon walnut coffee cake. Now, the bakery has grown to offer a dozen flavors of its coffee cake that will please just about any finicky taste buds. Choose from the original cinnamon walnut, Cape Cod cranberry, banana walnut, lemon poppy, and chocolate chip, among others, perfect for any occasion.

La Luce Pastry Shop

Elias Saade started his training and adventures in pastry arts in his teens. In 2014 he fulfilled his dream and opened La Luce Pastry Shop in Dedham Square, which has become very loved in the community for its delectable treats. Choose from croissants, scones, and muffins or one of many classic pastries like tiramisu, rum cake, strawberry shortcakes, and traditional cheesecakes and pies, just to mention a few. Or try one of their crepes, made right in front of you, whether sweet or savory, both are delicious. After spending a day learning history at the local historical sites, stop by the bakery and pick up a few sweet and delicious pastries before heading home to the Parkway Apartments, where you can relax and enjoy your pastries with tea or coffee.
